So you guys validate a small portion of each monitor and then sell it as meant for professionals, color accurate, and calibrated? I understand nothing is perfect and some monitors will come with a defect, but refusing to acknowledge the discrepancy between how you advertise a product and the process you actually go through validating it is a little misleading. Most companies would look for a way to help the customer rather than telling them 'Na, your product's fine, we validated of it, deal with it.'. I bought this monitor to replace one of those cheap 1440p Korean panels off of Ebay, and this one is worse than that, and they have no standards.
I appreciate the reply, but saying 'Maybe the next one will meet your approval?'...This is my first purchase with Dell and so far the impression I have from you guys is you're condescending, rude, and apathetic toward your customers. A $700 monitor should meet my approval, I've had $150 monitors that didn't have backlight bleed or color uniformity issues.
You may return it for refund through Dell Canada Customer Service. Or initiate a new monitor exchange through Dell Canada Technical Support. Maybe the next one will meet your approval. Note, after 30 days from the Dell invoice date, you may only get used/refurbished monitor exchanges.

* Go back to the top of this Monitor Forum
* Open "FAQ Monitor"
* Open "Dell Policy concerning Backlight (bleed) or Color/Tint variance"

I certainly did not mean to be "condescending, rude, and apathetic". I am just stating the Dell policy and what your options are.
