U2717D, How to adjust the height?

Just bought a new U2717D monitor but cannot work out how to lower the height. Can anyone help? Thank you.

It seems unwieldy and slightly dangerous to force the monitor while it is attached to the stand if it is stuck. I found it was better to first remove the monitor from the stand. Then with just handling the stand, force the mount DOWN into the stand and listen for the spring compressing. Once that is happening, push the stand back button down. It will release and the spring will engage (watch out!), forcing it to full extension. My back button was stuck awhile and it took about 4-5 attempts to get it to press down. But once it did ithe spring shot it right to the top.

If the stand is functioning, the stand plate uses the weight of the panel. So when connected, move the panel to the desired height, hold, then let go. The panel + stand plate should stay in that position.

I think you just grab the sides of the monitor and move it up or down vertically. By the way, the monitor model you have it the title of your post is different than the one you have in the text.

Sorry - don't know where the title sent wrong! Perhaps I am not strong enough but it will not budge!

If that is the correct monitor. You don't say if the title or the one in the post is the correct one. The 2717 rotates to change the position of the screen.

It seems so.

Yes, @Vic384 is correct. It works like that on all my UltraSharps, including my new u2717d.

Maybe your stand is jammed somehow or malfunctioning ? Personally, in 11 years, I've never seen that.

If you watch this YouTube video you will see the monitor move up and down. About 3:30 minutes into the video it is not moved much but definitely moved up and down. The video does not instruct you how it is done. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhfnjZXoRfI

I managed it, thanks to you all for your help. A bit of brute force on my part moved it down to a more usable level.

Correct. There is not a locking or unlocking mechanism on the stand riser. The internal spring holds it in place after raise or lower the panel.
