U2722D, can't connect to MacBook Pro M1

I used the USB Type-C cable that came with the U2722D to connect the U2722D to the MacBook Pro M1 Chip. The MacBook Pro and the U2722D can't detect each other? On the screen of U2722D, I get =
No HDMI cable. The display will go into Standby mode in 4 minutes.

Please see the photos below for the connection setup. The first photo is to the MacBook Pro. The latter one is to the U2722D. How can I fix this issue?

The U2722D/U2722DX #6 USB Type-C upstream port does not provide video, only data for the #7/#9/#10/#11 USB downstream ports. See page 12 in the online U2722D User's Guide. The U2722D only has #3 HDMI video in port and #4 DP in video port. You will need to purchase a USB Type-C to DP cable to connect the MacBook Pro to the U2722D.

The U2722DE has the #3 HDMI video in port, #4 DP in video port, and the additional #5 USB Type-C (video + data) port. See pages 13 and 14 =

You probably already have it resolved but  I used a Cable Matters USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable $19.49 from on Amazon. I just ordered a Maxonar USB-C to DP cable 8K to see if that allows the Dell Display Manager to work. Lot's of great features on the DDM for Mac OS. We really want to be able to use it. Please let me know if you have any luck.

jan162022,

Apologies for not seeing your question. The Dell or Cable Matters will work.

Rlent1,

I split you out into your own thread here.

jan162022,

* What W (wattage) power adapter shipped from Apple with your MacBook Pro M1? The Dell USB Type-C to HDMI/DP/USB Type-C adapter only provides 90W charging back to Laptop
* Have you tested with the Apple power adapter also connected to the MacBook Pro M1?
* Read through the existing U2722D threads on the Apple Forum. Then start a new thread out there explaining your issue, all cabling used. Let's see what otehr Apple users say

I'm using Dell Adapter USB-C to HDMI/DP with Power Pass-Through to connect my MacBook Pro M1 USB-C to #4 DP as you instructed. Each time every 1 hour of usage, it starts flickering.

Chris,

I'm out of solutions. Can you help with this? Or is U2722D incompatible with MacBook Pro M1?
