U2722DE, losing network connection, #2

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the Dell U2722DE in my company. Dell does not want to help me but want to replace the monitor which is not an option since there are multiple of them with problems.

Now to the problem:
The monitors act as a docking station and monitor, however some lose internet connection from time to time. They are connected via Ethernet cable. So far, plugging the power cable in and out has helped in the short term, but it keeps happening again.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem permanently?

Our assumption is that your company has installed the provided Realtek USB GBE Ethernet Controller driver on all systems?

I also see that we released a Windows OS firmware update M3T104 on January 6, 2022. Has this firmware update been installed?

Hi,

I have been experiencing this exact issue for some time now. We have upgraded the firmware on many of the monitors that have had this network problem to version M3B304 but it did not resolve. I have also updated the Realtek USB GBE Ethernet Controller driver to version 10.46.20.621. This also did not resolve our issue.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Chris

I had also implemented the changes suggested by Mattias 77. Still experiencing network issues.

Thanks

ChrisMBL,

Following  up with you to see if you have heard back from your users in reference to the recommended version of the Realtek-USB driver and firmware version M3B304 are installed and working without issues?

Hi,

I am still seeing issues. We have installed the hub FW update and installed the latest realtek usb driver that is on this site. Problem still persists.

We were able to resolve by applying the Hub Firmware update and installing the realtek USB driver.

We also had a problem with some users who had trouble getting on the network via 802.1x after the computer had gone to sleep. We resolved by disabling ARP Offload on the Realtek USB network interface. Device Manager > Network adapter > Realtek USB > Properties > Advanced.

Hope this helps.

Same here, problem exists with 2 screens of this model since september 2021, the support doesn't help and the problem persists after installed firmware and driver. We need a working solution.

Edit: we will try this solution found here: https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/U2722DE-losing-network-connection/m-p/8119953
