U2723QE, not recognizing laptop USB-C

Hello everyone

I have searched this community but not sure this issue has been answered, I have recently purchased the Dell U2723QE for work, when I attach my work laptop into the monitor via usb - c 90w it charges the laptop but says no signal is displayed, when going into device manager it recognizes the monitor as USB hub whereas when I plug it in via HDMI it recognizes it as a monitor as expected. It does sometimes say device may be restricted but this is not often.

I have checked the firmware but it’s up to date, I’m all out of ideas can anyone share there thoughts?

To receive assistance from Dell Chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get help now" icon on the right to start a live private chat session. Provide to them the private U2723QE Service Tag.

* What Laptop model?
* What operating system?
* U2723QE Menu- Display- USB-C Prioritization
- What is it currently set to?

USB-C Prioritization = Allows you to specify the priority to transfer the data with high resolution (High Resolution) or high speed (High Data Speed) when using the USB-C port/DisplayPort

* U2723QE Menu- Input Source
- Set Auto Select to On
- Set Auto Select for USB-C to Yes

Connect the provided AC power adapter to the Laptop. Change U2723QE Menu- Display- USB-C Prioritization to High Resolution. Then retest.
