U2913WM, overlapping windows

I have a strange, confounding issue that has recently popped up with my U2913WM monitor. For years, I had it connected via DisplayPort to my Inspiron 3847 desktop (with an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti card) without issue. When I aligned two windows horizontally on the screen they would correctly pop into place.

Recently, I got a new Alienware m15 R3 laptop with an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super card and connected it to the same monitor. Now, irrespective of what I do through the Nvidia Display Manager to adjust the aspect of the screen, I am getting a slight, annoying horizontal overlap of about 1/8 of an inch between the two windows. To ensure it wasn't something to do with the card, I checked it on the built in display and on a 27" Asus monitor. Neither had any issues.

I'm stumped! Does anyone know what is going on and how I might fix the overlap issue?

Gad! It was so simple! The DDM (Dell Display Manager) allows you to set default window sizes. Once I did that, problem was solved! Took literally five seconds at most.

The monitor is connected to the Alienware laptop using HDMI, BTW, if that makes a difference.
