U3011 Resolution issues
Setup is as follows:
ASUS Sabertooth X58
Intel i7-970
OCZ Gold ram
X-25M SSD
Windows 7 64
PNY GTX 570 (263.09 and 266.58 drivers with HD audio inistalled and without)
Dell U3011
For some reason either monitor doesn't want to go past 1600x1200, any resolutions higher than this on the two U3011's I have here to test default to 1280x1600 and skew the image on DVI. VGA scale correctly at 2048x1280. I've tried with two U3011's and two different dual link DVI cables, with all of the scaling options in the NVIDIA control panel and on the monitor itself to no avail. Any thoughts?

I just got the U3011 last week. It worked right out of the box. I have a old Belkin KVM Flip DVI-'D' switch. The switch cables are missing pins in the center of the plug, so I didn't think they would support the U3011's highest resolution. Anyway, I used the Dell supplied cable from the monitor to the switch. Plugged in the switch's cables, one to each GPU (Nvidia GTX580 the other Nvidia 8800) of the computers. The U3011 recognized each GPU and went right to the native res of 2560x1600. Do you know for certain that your DVI cables are DVI-'D' ready cables? Do they have all the pins in their plugs, the same as the one that shipped with the monitor?

Monitor never shipped with any cables, I have two mono price DVI-D dual link cables (all the pins are there).

Hello, cmos.
You mentioned on the 19th that you were taking the monitors in to get tested. If you can, please let us know what you find out.
Thank you,

Ended up being the cables, haven't had problems with monoprice stuff before but the local shop could have faked me out.
