The U3014 doesn't support PiP via software; all you can do via software is switch the primary input.
SetActiveInput does work on the U3014, but if, e.g., you are connected to PC1 via HDMI and want to switch to PC2 which is connected via DP, you must send "SetActiveInput DP" from PC1. You cannot send the command from PC2.
