When I connect a HP Elite X2 Tablet only with USB-C cable to the Dell monitor it shows the full screen resolution, USB ports are working and the tablet is charging. So also the picture signal is working.

It supports HDMI1 + USB1 to computer1 and DP + USB Type- C to computer 2.
Make sure USB Selection for HDMI is set to USB1 and DP is set to USB Type-C.
