U3818DW, USB hub functionality?
So is the single USB Type-C port supposed to be able to do that? Namely connect the U3818DW AND enable the U3818DW USB downstream functionality? Say just one, the adapter up to 1 Gbit traffic? The theoretical bandwidth of that port should be more than enough. With external docks, this works just fine (connecting a bunch of things using just one USB Type-C cable) = the limitation is in the U3818DW.

Do you have the U3818DW there to test on? If yes, click my username and send me its service tag number via a Private Message. Or are you just speaking in theory to USB Type-C bandwidth? All we can go on is what the U3818DW User's Guide pages 6, 29, 56 presents to us =
