U4025QW, cannot update to firmware M3T105 via macOS Tahoe 26
I've tried this from two 2024 Macbook Pro M4s running Tahoe 26.0.1. One is using M4 Pro chips, the other M4 Max. The firmware utility says the Model No and Current Firmware are 'Not detected' and the error says 'The selected firmware is not for this monitor'. Can anyone advise how to make this work?

We have notified the Displays team of these threads. sirgromit39f9dc had same issue here =
UPDATE: I was able to update the firmware using my old 2017 MBP (Intel) which was running macOS Ventura 13.7.8 but not with my 2024 MBP (M4) which is running macOS Tahoe 26.0.1.
If you have a Windows OS PC, connect the U4025QW to it and try running the U4025QW Windows OS M3T105 firmware update.

@DELL-ChrisM2
I had the same problem. I was able to use a Windows 10 laptop to upgrade the firmware. The mac I originally tried to update the firmware with is a MBP 2023 running Tahoe 26.0.1 with an Apple M2 Max chip in case it's helpful.

@DELL-ChrisM2 Is there any timeline when you plan to fix Mac OS Tahoe support? Is Windows laptop the only available option to do the firmware upgrade currently?

* No. All we Forum Liaisons can do is report the issue, threads, number of users. etc. When we receive replies from the platform team, we post the applicable communications.
Is Windows laptop the only available option to do the firmware upgrade currently?
* Based on other user reports, yes.

@DELL-ChrisM2 Thanks for the answers.
Is the issue reported? What is the status? The firmware I can't install suppose to fix several issues which are critical in my opinion (random monitor shut downs on MacOS).

Same here! MacBook Pro M4 Pro Tahoe 26.1 - I just change from the U4021QW to the new one. For a monitor priced at this range I would expect more focus and prioritization from DELL :-(
The customer and user experience is very low at this point. I really hope there will be a SW fix as I to not have or like any Windows solution nor downgrade my Mac

@ppope56 I have the new Mac Studio, so I just tried updating the firmware using my Windows laptop and it worked perfectly. Just plugged a thunderbolt into the laptops port and to my U4025QW thunderbolt port and downloaded the windows updated file. Shows updated to M3T105. I plugged the monitor back into my Mac Studio and no glitches or issues. I just got the monitor today....you would think they would come up to date with the latest firmware before going out the door.
