U4025QW, TB4 connection disconnects Mac laptop when switched to PC DP input
I have a Dell U4025QW monitor. My PC is connected to the U4025QW via DP (DisplayPort). My MacBook is connected to the U4025QW via TB4 (Thunderbolt 4). When the Input Source to the U4025QW has MacBook selected (which is assigned to Thunderbolt) the MacBook has a strong Ethernet connection. But when the Input Source to the U4025QW is switched to PC, the Thunderbolt connection to the MacBook disconnects. How can I stop this? I want to transfer files over the ethernet connection which could take a few hours and am using a VPN which also loses connection. I tried a direct Ethernet to USB-C connection avoiding the U4025QW but this stops working after a few seconds for some other reason. The Thunderbolt gives a persistent connection but only as long as the U4025QW input isn't switched.

Thanks that worked!
I mostly hunted around the Dell Display and Peripheral Manager program and the option isn't there. It only seems to be on the monitor itself. And the option isn't obvious to me as it is under 'USB' options rather than Ethernet and I would have looked for something like 'No switch' which isn't an labelled option. A case of rtm.
