Once the UP2414Q USB upstream cable is connected from the UP2414Q to the computer USB port, the Apple operating system must provide device drivers to utilize the UP2414Q SD Card reader and USB ports. We do not provide any device drivers for the proprietary Apple operating systems.
You should ask the users on the Apple Discussions Forum if they have any workarounds.
Are you saying that it did not ship in the monitor box? The manual page 6 shows it should have been in there? Contact Dell Spare Parts 1-800-357-3355 and ask if Dell part PN81N is available for sell.

The lack of this upstream cable you speak of may be part of the issue. Can this be purchased separately?
