UP3216Q, Fast vs Normal response time

What are some situations where I would want to change the Response Time setting from Normal 8 ms to Fast 6 ms? What are some good tests for me to see the difference? I can't tell much difference by quickly dragging a windows around the desktop.

Some reviews of this monitor just say Normal is fine. The Fast response time has some overshoot which shows up at ghost edges but I can't see that. I do play some games but not much first person shooter. Is it input lag in FPS that fast overshoot helps?

This monitor is not a gaming monitor so why does it have the option of Normal or Fast? How can I test it?

Hi,

The online UP3216Q User's Guide does not detail the uses of Normal and Fast Response Time. You will simply need to test them both in the applications that you use.
