USB on 1704 FPV locks up computer @ boot
One of my associates recently got an UltraSharp 1704FPV, but when he connects the USB hub (built into the monitor), his computer will not post. His computer is a little older (XPS T###), but I can not think of a reason why a USB device would lockup a computer. I have upgraded the BIOS for the computer, but still have had no luck. The only other potential conflict that I can think of is a Promise Ultra 66 (which I also updated the BIOS for). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem! However, my computer is a Gateway GP6-400 with Windows 98 SE. If I have the monitor's USB hub connected during boot, it doesn't get past the BIOS. I also upgraded the BIOS and the problem persists. If I have just my jump drive in the USB port during boot, there isn't a problem; it's just when I have the monitor's hub connected that it locks up! This is annoying, and I would very much like to use the USB ports without having to reconnected the monitor after every boot. Is there an answer for our problem?
Thanks.
