The U2412M has four USB downstream ports, two on the side and two on the bottom. Are all four failing after a computer reboot? Have you tested the USB upstream cable on all of the computer USB ports? Have you tested the monitor on a different computer to see if it also has the same issue?
Thank you for the response. The upstream cable works. I have found that if I shut off the monitor and leave it off for 10 seconds or so then turn it back on the USB ports work again.
Also, I can solve the problem by unplugging the upstream cable and plugging it back in after the reboot - but that is a pain.
Since I can fix the problem by turning the monitor off and on... it is not as big as an issue.
