Warranty Support??

Hi everyone, I bought a dell 2405fpw from someone online a few months ago.  It was in great condition.  However it recently developed a cluster of dead pixels in the middle of screen that is quite annoying.  The monitor doesn't have a service tag sticker and I can't get a hold of the seller.  The monitor does have a manufacture date on the back of July 2005.  Now since I know that all these monitors were sold with 3 year warranties, how can I get support on this.  I understand dell requires the service tag or order number, but can I get any support considering the monitor's date of manufacture proves it's still under warranty?

Any help is most appreciated.

monitors have a long serial number which you use to get warrenty claims. You may not have any warrenty left on it.

I'd call during business hours.  When you get to a live person, explain that you do not have a dell pc. They can then proceed from there

When I called Dell all they would take is a service tag.  Not having that, is there a special # to call to get someone who can verify warranty coverage using the long serial number?
