i just want to know the difference between the 2 monitors, and which would be better to have or use

Wow, is that ever a loaded question. CRT = cathode ray tube. The same technology has been around since the 1950’s. The 1940’s for the military. Needless to say it has improved tons since then. LCD = Liquid crystal display. LCD is a much newer technology, but has been around awhile in smaller devices like say a wrist watch display. Both technologies started out as black and white, but then moved to color. CRT uses an electron gun to illuminate phosphors on a coated piece of glass. LCD uses transistors to turn pixels off and on. Which technology you should use depends on many things. CRT is significantly cheaper when compared to a like size LCD. That may be all you need to know. However, if you want the latest and can afford it LCD is the way to go IMHO. The form factor is much smaller and it uses less energy. There is no doubt about it the CRT is going the way of the 8 track tape. Not within the next 5 years, but it’s only a matter of time. Some hard core gamers say CRT is still the way to go until the LCD pixel has a faster response time. Slower LCD displays show ghosting and can not keep up with the output of today’s fastest video cards. However, I have a 2001FP LCD display that shows none of that. Finally, the CRT uses a different cable/connection than LCD. This is primarily due to LCD being digital and CRT being analog. You’ll find an array of both type connections from different manufacturers, but it still comes down to LCD being digital and CRT being analog. This is another reason I prefer LCD. The computer is digital to start with. Why convert the medium to analog just to display it? I say keep the entire process digital all the way to the display. I find the LCD is best if reading text.  True colors are found on CRT's.  The color rendition of newer desktop LCD's looks much better than the LCD's supplied with a laptop PC.
