Why doesn't the 2007fpw have COMPONENT INPUT?

I really wish it did, that wya Id be able to hook up the Gamecube and Xbox(original) to it. :-(

At least xbox 360 has the vga cable now.

You can hook all those systems up via the composite port (yellow RCA) on the back. In fact, all of those systems come with the composite cables, and you wouldn't have to buy separate component cables. However, I too wish there was component input.

Maybe a marketing or pricing decision. The monitor uses the same controller as the 2407WFP.

I think just about all of us wish the monitor had a component input, but it's well enough for me. I'm getting a comcast HD box from motorola that has a DVI out. And guess what else it has? Component in's! So I'll be able to hook my Xbox through the component cables, the Xbox 360, and any future component enabled machines

Either way, you are going from Analog to Digital, so there is no way to get the absolute best picture out of your gaming devices (Untill the Xbox 360 comes out with a DVI cable)

I already have it hooked up via monster cable's s-video for the cube, but until I get a 360 I can only play xbox games on composite.

lousey dell, I wish they had an upgrade feature so you could get components, plus another DVI port by adding some more dough

There are some Component to DVI converters on the internet. I picked up one of those and have a cube ad PS2 attached to it.

wow I wish i knew about this soon, wouldn't of wasted money buying s-video cable for my Cube.

One more question, which would be better?

Component to DVI or component to VGA?

It's like anything else in life, you get more features as the price goes up.
