Backup open files with VSS

Hi,

someone already configured schedule backups to backup open files with windows 2003 VSS ? I read the admin guide but I did not understand how it works with schedule backups. I only need configure VSS on my drive ? the saveset notation is only drive letter or VSS: to backup backup open files with VSS ?

Any comments will be very helpful.

There should be no problem then*. VSS is what NW should try first always and if there is no license it will only revert back legacy method. This means saveset All should work you too (as VSS backup of course).

* problem here is how to assign license per client. I wish if each client has VSS yes/no or enabled/disabled field, but it does not. Instead you must turn off vss by writing it down for each client (nsradmin comes handy here).

You need a license first.
