Dedicated index pool and bootstrap still needed?

Question

Hi all We are planning a new networker 18.2, 19.1 setup and i was asking myself if we sill need a dedicated pool for bootstrap and index now with DataDomain and cloudtier? We have an old setup that run Networker 8.2.4 and we didn't dedicate an index pool or bootstrap with the pro's and con's that come with it. Our setup will be 2 DD on 2 sites (1 prod and 1 dr) with replication and clourdtier for LTR any inputs helps Regards

adding to what @bingo said, the index and bootstrap are now in a separate policy and workflow and are not backed up after each group completion. So its better off in a separate pool and device which makes it easier for you during DR.

Such pool was never an absolute necessary requirement. However it is best practice, especially if you backed up to tape. I wouldn't like to give it up.
