IBM TS4300 I/O slots
Hi,
I wonder, can I see these I/O slots via GUI somewhere or not? My networker is showing only ordinary slots in GUI. I can see the slots via sjirdtag.

Hi,
You can only import or export the tapes to IO slots but cannot see the current status of the IO slots from NetWorker.

@crazyrov So do I understand this right that these I/O slots are only used for tapes exchanges and if I want to use them as ordinary slots in the Networker, I will need to disable I/O slots option via library's own management?

@RimvydasLT I don't think I/O slots can be used as normal slots and definitely not configurable so in NetWorker. Not sure if an TL model provides you with this configuration. Not sure if you might be talking about cleaning tapes then what you said is valid.

@crazyrov TL library config GUI has an option to disable I/O station, which in turn will disable I/O slots. I will try if Networker will see all of the slots as slots when I'll disable this option.
I understand that networker has nothing to do with these slots configuration.
Cleaning tapes are different story, as it seems that I'm not able to exclude only two specific slots via library's management GUI:( Guess will need to leave auto cleaning option for networker.
