Is an SQL Module license required for SQL Express?

Question

HI,

OS: W2K3 R2
NW: 7.3.3

I have an application using SQL Express which I intend to install on a standard NW Client.

Would I need an SQL module or a standard NW client will do?

I emailed EMC licensing about two hours ago. I understand my query has now been forwarded to EMC sales and to my supplier as well.

I have a feeling I will have a long wait so I turned to my favorite forum!!!

2005 Express can be backed up with module. In that case you would require module license (if module would be used for online backup).

My supplier finally confirmed this last night supported up by a software compatibility document where it stated that Module 5.1 is required for SQL Express.ThanksHabib
