Networker Database integrity - NW7.4 SP1

I ran an inventory last night on my jukeboxes after loading in some offsite media. Now I have several tapes that read unlabeled. Last time this happened I (with supports help) ran a couple of command to check the database and it cleared it up. The problem is I can't find my notes. Does anyone know the commands for checking the integrity of the database? I've looked at the command ref but I can't find anything that looks familiar. Thanks.

I don't know the command that you mention but if the volumes haven't been deleted from media database when you run a nsrjb -Iv (inventory) NW should recognize the tapes and not put the unlabeled message.

If you remember the command, please put it here.

Have you try to mount this volumes into tapes?

yes but they're all listed as unlabeled. If I try to label them it says it can't because it is already labeled. I went through this with support once and they had me run a check against the database at the cmd line. It scrolled through the database and finished in a minute or so and everything was fine after that. I just can't remember the commands (there were two). I believe but am not sure but I think one had an argument of (-T). Hope that helps and sorry I can't be more specific. I wish I could back my brain up in Networker sometimes!

Only one question, have these volumes been deleted from media database?

Hi,
try to run nsrjb -I -p -S to force networker to load the tape and read the internal label.
This operation takes obviously a long time, but it is the safest way to have a real inventory.

You should try NSRCK command with appropriate level ( -L3 ? )

good luck!

Commands you asked for are nsrck -L6 and nsrim -X.

Thanks for all the input. I meant to resond more quickly but was sicker than a dead man and not online for awhile.
