As this is initial SP release (8.1.3.0), refer to release notes (https://support.emc.com/docu48343_NetWorker_8.1_and_Service_Packs_Release_Notes.pdf?language=en_US) for official list of fixes inside (page 19, 20 and 21).

Catching up with update so here we have NetWorker 8.1.3.3, 8.2.1.7 and NMM 8.2.1.7 released.  As you can see, it is patch update for 8.1.x and 8.2.x along with NMM for 8.2.x (important one for Exchange users).  8.2.x will continue to grow as I already now know 8.2.1.8 should contain fix for an issue where group reports failure if nsrclone had nothing to clone when using ssid completion cloning (eg. SAP archive log group which had no backup and therefore there is nothing to clone).

Still not much of front of NetWorker 8.5 (or 9) - I have seen one article popping up in KB which is applicable to NW 8.5 and 9 versions (!?). Not sure if these two numbers reflect change in planned naming convention or 8.5 will be released with feature ready set and planned set originally will be part of 9 - we will most likely see this soon.  I had a feeling more would be released during NW birthday event, but that went somewhat silent.

NetWorker 9.0 is out now   It is DA version so unless you have a test environment or specific need for feature coming with this release, you will most likely wait for at least first service pack and couple of subsequent sub-patches. I suggest to read release notes and technical differences doc (which compares some common things between 9 and 8).  I think there is no single script that I use which I won't have to rewrite.  NW9 is totally different than anything so far   While previous upgrades made changes to parts which would not affect everyone (or even majority in some cases), NW9 brings total change and I'm quite sure many people will find themselves scratching their heads thinking about how to design their setup.

For those on 8.2.x code tree (or planning to get there), be aware that 8.2.1.8 is out now - both NetWorker and NMM.  For more details see NetWorker 8.2.1.8 and NMM 8.2.1.8 released

Thanks a million Hrvoje,

finally I found the place where NMM updates are located.

And as they obviously do not belong to NetWorker :-( they are located in another directory path on the FTP server, not underneath the NetWorker directory tree. This would explain why users are regularly informed about NW updates but will never be updated about NMM hotfixes ;-( .

This makes me thinking about NMDA hotfixes ...

  - Hrvoje - do you have an idea where these would be located ?

  - EMC - it's really time to improve on such little but important issues.
