NetWorker release management

I was told that NMDA (and NMSAP) do not publish they fixes same way NMM does (and MEDITech module).

I published 1st out of 3 planned posts for NW9 - see Part I: What is NetWorker 9?.  Originally, I planned this to be single post, but due to some forum limits I had to split this into three.  Part I is bunch of blah blah and preparation for Part II which shows actual upgrade (at least I hope so as I still have to do it).  Part III will show migration from UNIX (AIX) based server to Linux.

2nd of 4 NW9 intro articles is out (yeah, I decided to add one extra article so what was supposed to be part III will be part IV).  Have a check at Part II: What is NetWorker 9? As always, no proofing of article is made - I do it for free and typos are part of magic.

3rd of 5 (yes, it keeps growing) of NW9 what's what series is here - Part III: What is NetWorker 9?.  Part IV is now Part V and in part IV I will continue with what is left out of Part III plus some extras.

4th out of 6 (shifting again) of NW9 article series is out now - Part IV: What is NetWorker 9?.

For those who jumped to 8.2SP2 - there is first post SP2 patch available for both NW and NMM; see NetWorker and NMM 8.2.2.1 released.

While I expected 8.2.1.9 to show up, 8.1.3.6 did it instead - see NetWorker and NMM 8.1.3.6 released

8.2.1.9 didn't show up, but 8.2.2.2 did - see NetWorker 8.2.2.2 released.  Note that at the time of this writing, EMC still didn't post fix list so I simply extracted the list of ESC fixed (where ESC id was present) - I do not expect to see much difference in their fix list once they post it.  I simply do not understand this policy of posting patches without fix list which should come along.  I also updated build/version number for NW9, but I will not post separated article for it as it is DA right now.

NetWorker 9 is now available for grabs from standard "1st release" download place (https://support.emc.com/downloads/1095_NetWorker). This is release 9.0.0.2 which is the build 448.

7 days ago 8.2.2.3 saw the lights of ftp.  Today, it seems it will be re-released (at least for some platforms).  See NetWorker and NMM 8.2.2.3 released
