stl_load: Error during load request. stl_errstr: 0

Any ever get this error message before? EMC support does not seem to know what it is and what causes it. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Clinton

Does it happen when you try to load a tape, label, unload?

Had that messaged here sometimes before, but I was running silo in a bug version of Networker. Which version and OS are you running Nw?

May be a better version of libstlstk.so.1 helps you, depends on what NW version & which Silo.

Is that really an error? (I know it says so, but in doesn't look so). Can tell what consequences of that error are that you see...?

Well what happens is that the tape is actually offsite, even though Networker thinks its still on-site. So if you look in the acsls, it'll show the tape as ejected but will still show the tape in the media db.

Media will always show in Mediadb, no matter where it is.

So, acsls show tapes ejected, but Nw think they're still inside silo, right? Seems like things are not being updated. Have tried to run nsrjb -II ?

Yeah, it seems as if the only way to update it is to delete it doing nsrjb -x -T...Doing nsrjb -II doesn't really help unfortunately. I'm coming to realize that its another one of those annoyances about the system.

Exactly. With silo you must deallocate it. While allocated it allocates slot and gets placed inside so called nsrjb database (thus it assumes volume is online). With silo, whenever you eject volume, you must deallocate it within NW.

Yeah, I understand I need to deallocate it when taking it out of the silo. The script automatically does that for us. However, it does not take for some reason so I have to do it manually.
