9116 Commands

New to Dell 9116Ns and al things Dell networking.  Generally is there a document that has all  of the cli commands and a brief explanation of those commands.

Specifically is there a command that checks the status of an SFP?  And potentially a means of performing a cable check via TDR?

My apologies if this has been asked before but I could not find anything helpful using the search!

Hi,

All of the CLI command are listed here documented: https://dell.to/3BaoZwo

To check status of specific interface, that would be #show interface status. But I'm not sure what you meant by cable check via TDR, as in the TDR device? You can check the cable end from the fabric to the device.

Thank you for the link! I could not find it in all of the documentation!

I did eventually find a command that provided information about the sfp show interface phy-eth x/x/x .

When I used to work with Cisco switches there was a command "test cable tdr interface x/x"

I guess there is nothing similar with 9116Ns?

Thank again!

Hi,

TDR command is not available in OS10. You will need to use physical device.
