How can I recover a S3100 S3148P switch from U-Boot or the NetBSD prompt ?

How can I recover a S3100 S3148P switch from U-Boot or the NetBSD prompt?

I am a student and I have this S3148P that is broken. I have never worked with Dell switches before so I am interested in understanding the architecture.
