I think I fixed the issue I switch span tree mode to mts and for the past hour or so I haven't seen a timeout.

Hello @johnlongo1959,

What is the firmware on 8024F?

If you disconnect the 8024F from the CISCO router, what is the connection result within the 8024F subnet? If without starting the ESXi host or the SoftPerfect Network scan, does the other clients on the 8024F network able to ping/reach other?

I'm running version 5.1.17.1 on the switch.

I can ping the VM's that are running in that subnet (192.168.2.0/24) the same subnet that the ESXI Host management ip is running in. The management ip is the only ip I get a timeout when I try to ping it.

Hello @johnlongo1959,

Were you able to reset the switch? What is the current configuration? Is there any configuration that could prevent this ping?

Regards

How is the port to the server configured? It is acting like there is a loop being created that it is causing the connection drop.

Not sure how to fix this, I can ping a VM but the management ip I can't see attached.
