128 Bit encryption - 1180 wireless usb adapter

It was suggested that if I used Hex (Vs ascii) I could input the special characters in our  WEP key. This didn't work! Does anyone have any other suggestions!      Thanks    Jay

If your router supports only ASCII keys and your wireless adapter only HEX keys, you might want to see if there is a driver update to your wireless adapter that will support both HEX and ASCII keys.
