128mb memory??

I am going to install Verizon DSL. I have dial up now. I did a system check and it said that I needed 128mb of memory but only had 127mb. Can I free up some of the memory (and how) of should I buy more. If so how much? I have a Demenision 2400 desktop that had 128mb when I bought it. Thanks

You have 128 Mb of memory (it's just reported wierd).  128 Mb is the bare minumum for running Windows XP.  Most people running with this little memory report that their computer is running slow.  512 Mb is the ideal amount of memory to have for Windows XP.  You should definitely install more memory.  Most forum regulars recommend getting the memory from www.crucial.com - they have good prices and gaurantee that the memory will work if you use the memory configuration wizard on their web site.

Thanks for your help...Now another question. I have a Dell all in one printer. I have refilled the ink cartridges from ink-refills-ink.com. Worked great until now. Now it says that I am still low on ink. Will I have to but new cartridges and if so is there somewhere that is priced lower than Dell?

I know nothing about Dell printers.  Post in one of the printer forums.
