1350 wireless connection

Question

I have an Inspiron 5160 with a 1350 internal wireless card. It connects with my Netgear WG614 router with no problem. However, after 1-2 days, the laptop does not connect because it cannot find the IP address. Rebooting the laptop does not help. I have to unplug the router, wait about a minute, and then the laptop will connect. I am running XP SP2 and have all the current updates and have updated the router. I have searched Dell and Windows sites for help with this problem and have contacted Dell support and have not found/received an answer. There seems to be a lot of people in the forum with similar problems and I have tried the suggestions that were offered including using Windows networking utility instead of the Dell utility. Nothing seems to correct the problem. I did attach a USB wireless adapter from Netgear and did not experience any problems at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I should add that the problem only happens when I am using WEP or WPA encryption. It works fine when security is not enabled.

Try a few different channels on your router to see if its an interference problem as i never have a problem on my wireless network with my 1350...
