Have you tried using the Fn F2 key which toggles the wireless radio on and off?

The driver I have installed was R14074. I will try some of the others drivers that come up when I search the Dell site.

What happens when you open Network Connections, right click on the wireless network connection, and select View Available Wireless Netowrks?

Nothing shows up.  One other driver I tried made no difference.

If you open network connections and right click on the wireless network connection, what is the first item in the drop-down menu - Disable or Enable?

When you reinstalled Windows, did you install the chipset drivers as the first drivers installed?

Uninstall the wirless adapter from Device manager first, then install the chipset driver and reinstall the wireless network adapter.

The first menu item is disable.  The icon for the network in the task bar has a red x through it.

Houston we have lift off!  Thank you.  I had already stated before I read you last post and I did not uninstall the wirless adapter before install the chip set.  I have yet to install all of the other drivers so I hope that things don't mess it up.  Thanks again.

I posted to soon.  I am able to see wireless networks but not able to connect with them yet.  I will play around with this setup before I  do another reinstall and using the info about uninstalling the wireless adapter before installing the chipset drivers.
