i have the intel wireless-gen-n mini card which i think is model 495..running home vista premium..i uninstalled trend micro internet security...i also have bluetooth as well..the internet works it just takes to long to connect like other laptops and pcs in our family
Which version of Windows are you running? Which wireless network adapter do you have? Does the same thing happen if you boot to Safe Mode with Network Support? (this will tell us if it is something that is loading in Normal Mode that is interfering with the network startup).

To get into Safe Mode, restart the computer and start tapping the F8 key before Windows loads. This will bring up a menu - choose Safe Mode with Network Support.
It is tricky getting into Safe Mode. You either have to hit the F8 key at just the right moment before Windows starts to load, or start tapping the F8 key, once a second, before Windows starts to load.
