1545 Wlan Switching

Hi there I have an inspiron 1545 and I cant turn the wireless adapter on. my key board isn't working properly and I have replaced the keyboard and half the left hand side of the keyboard still does not work. So I cant use the f2 method. I have been trying with the win7 onscreen keyboard but it has no function keys at top. The question is can I switch on the wireless adapter on using another method like a dos command or something alike. Regards Shane
