2 questions-please help!

I have a inspiron 1705 with the dell wireless 1500 card installed.  I want to take this card out, and put in a 1390 wireless card.  Can anyone tell me how I would do this on my computer?   I don't even know where to start!  Also, Qwest is offering a wireless modem that eliminates the need for a router.  It is 99.00.  Do you think this would be a good alternative to purchasing a router?  Ok, I have 3 questions:) How in the world do I set up my notebook to have wireless printing?  Do I need a special printer that says it is wireless, or will any printer have the capability to be wireless?  Sorry for all the questions, but would really appreciate any advice.  I am obviously new to the wireless world.  Thanks!!

Decstorm....
To replace the card here is the link..http://www.support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins9400/en/sm/cards.htm#wp1009645 ...this should help u.

Yeah you could go in for a modem that would be given by your ISP... its nothing but a two-in-one (router & modem in one piece)..as far as printer.. U need not purchase any special printer for this...But u need to have a wireless printer adapter which will be hooked up to the printer and this adapter would receive the signal from router and u can printer...the other way around is if your printer is connected to a desktop and if the desktop is connect to the router then you can share the printer and printer wirelessly without any adapter plugged into the printer.....hope this is clear....

Another easy option for wireless printing is a "print server" type product that you plug your printer into.

If I were you I'd decline the offer. You can get a wireless router out there for a lot less than 99.00 depending on the brand and model. You can save up to $60 easily. As far as wireless printing, there many ways to do it. Here they are (details are left out):

- If the printer is not wireless ready, get a wireless print server. Example: Linksys WPS54G (USB printer only), WPS54GU2 (USB and parallel printer). Note: I'm just an end user who happens to like linksys products.

- If the printer has a built-in network adapter, hook it up directly to the wireless router (wired) port.

- Cheap way of doing this is to hook up the printer to a PC and share it so other computers in the network can print to it. However, both (PC and printer) must be turned on in order for other computers in the network to print.
