2200 network adapter issue

This is driving me nuts.
When I first set up my wireless network I had no problem connecting and recently when I try to connect I get limited or no connectivity. I ran a system check and got this message:

" IPAddress = 192.168.1.100 (FAILED)
Pinging 192.168.1.100 with 32 bytes of data:

Hello all,
I have the same issue with an Inspiron 9300 with Windows XP Pro SP 2. The card is an intel 2200 bg wireless adapter. I downloaded the latest driver from Dell with the same results. Disabled all firewalls (windows and Symantec). Nothing happens. If I use my old laptop (latitude 640) wireless works like a champ. Any other wireless laptop works so I know that my setup is right. So, what's up ??

I encountered this problem a while ago and after having gone thru a billion tipps and tricks I got a new Intel card from Dell and now I am fine...(Look at my thread)
