2200BG Resource Conflict

I just got my Inspiron 700m one week ago, and after a couple days of flawless wireless networking (with the internal Intel/PRO wireless 2200BG card), I started up my computer and received the following error in the BIOS: "Resource Conflict - PCI Controller on Motherboard - Bus:02, Device:01, Function:00". Once I push F1 to continue, Windows XP SP 2 loads fine, but the network card is showing problems in device manager: it has a yellow exclamation point by it and the status of the device is "This device cannot start (Code 10)". Here is a list of what I have tried to remedy the problem:

1. Uninstalling and reinstalling the device using device manager - DID NOT WORK
2. Physically disconnecting the device from the motherboard and reconnecting - DID NOT WORK (However, when removing the card and starting the computer, I do not receive the BIOS error)
3. Download and install the newest drivers from support.dell.com (recommended by Dell service agents) - DID NOT WORK

The Dell support agents that I talked to were convinced that this is a software problem and that updating the drivers would work, but it did not. I am now convinced that the problem is with the card itself, that it somehow became damaged. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem? Thanks!

Did you try disabling the modem?

There is no IRQ associated with the network card. In Device Manager, under the Resources tab, it says "The device isn't using any resources because it has a problem" Also, under the Advanced tab, the Hardware Version is listed as "unknown" and the MAC address is 00-00-00-00-00-00-00

Yes, I tried disabling the modem, uninstalling the network card and reinstalling it, but I am still getting the same errors.

i have had precisely the same problem. after many long fruitless calls to support, Dell replaced my mother board under waranty and after a while the problem re-appeared again. I am currently waiting on a replacement wirelees card and praying hard this will fix the issue
