 alex71183,

Make and model of your wireless router is helpful. Try making a new SSID using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings, I use channel 11.

Then you'll need to download and run the patch(printer sleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Makw sure the printer is removed.  Manual Printer Driver Removal

Now setup the Dell 3300 Wireless Print Adapter. Setting up the Dell Wireless Printer Adapter 3300

Then download the proper drivers, install the proper drivers(if using Windows 7 download the Vista drivers and install in the compatibility mode), choose network and follow the instructions.

Links to the patch/drivers can be found at Dell 944 All-In-One Printer owners thread (W7)

I understand the issue i am having is that the wireless printer adapter cant negotiate the higher level of security i have established on my network.  I have a linksys wireless g router.  I was also thinking that using mac address filtering might solve my problem.  As far as a patch for the printer adapter, where can i go to download this?  I have searched dell, there is nothing available for the 3300 wireless print adapter.   Also when i connect my laptop directly with the adapter, it asks which network i want to connect to, then it asks for a network key.  Could that be the mac address of the router?  Bottom line is i would like a way for the adapter to communicate with my network without lowering the security level of my network.

 alex71183,

The Dell 3300 Wireless Print Adapter work with No Security, WEP and WPA-PSK(TKIP) Security (Personal)

I use these Recommended Wireless Router Settings, I used channel 11 and had no problems with my 3300 connecting to my  Linksys Router WRT54GS

I can walk you through the process, step by step, if you'd like but I have to leave for work for a few hours and may respond later today.

 alex71183,

I had an issue with mine. Please make sure the password is 13 characters long. If you need to change to the Recommended Wireless Router Settings, I'df change the SSID name to make connecting everything easier. The 3300 will need setup, again.

Keep me posted.
