3Com drivers

Hi;

I have a 3Com EtherLink XL 10/100 PCI For Complete PC Management NIC (3C905C-TX) network card installed in my Dimension 8200. It's been using the default Windows XP drivers since I got the machine about 2 years ago, but lately I've been having DSL disconnection problems and the ISP tech recommended that I update the card's drivers to see if that would help. I've checked the Dell Support site, but the only file under this card is a set of documentation files; no driver files. So I downloaded the latest drivers from the 3Com site (file name is 3c90x1.exe), but I'm not sure how to go about updating the drivers or if I should even risk it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Go to your System Properties, Device Manager,  Hardware, click + on Network adapters, right click adapter, click Properties, click the driver tab, click update driver.
