4600c ethernet

Question

put in new hard drive installed windows went to dell downloads downloaded driver plug in ethernet wire works on my 8300 but says network cable unpluged on 4600 no lights on by the ethernet port does this meen board is bad?

Did you reinstall the Dell chipset drivers?  That needs to be done for all the devices to work or work correctly.
