Adapter Switching driver/service

for a Latitude D600.  where can I download the driver for this?  system has an Intel PRO/Wireless NIC and a Broadcom 570x integrated (wired) NIC.  I want to be able to specify that WindowsXP uses the wired connection as the primary, when both wired & wireless are available.

thanks

causemaker,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

You can download drivers for your Dell computer at the Downloads tab (above).

well, thanks, but i've already looked there. and searched Intel's site, and google as well. when I go to the downloads page for this system, this is what I get for available downloads:

Network Drivers
Broadcom 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller
Dell TrueMobile 1170 Access Point
Dell TrueMobile 1300 802.11 b/g PCMCIA
Dell TrueMobile 1300 Internal 802.11b/g MPCI
Dell TrueMobile 1400 Internal Dual-band WLAN Card
Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless Broadband Router
Dell TrueMobile 300 Bluetooth Internal card
Dell Wireless 1350 (802.11b/g) WLAN miniPCI Card
Dell Wireless 1450 (802.11a/b/g) Dual-Band WLAN miniPCI Card
Intel (R) Pro/Wireless 2100 LAN miniPCI Adapter
Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection

What I really need is just the Intel PROset II software - that has the adapter switching capability built-in, I believe.  Can anybody tell me which of these downloads has the PROset II software bundled w/ it?  (this system has only the original PROset software).

thanks.

causemaker,

I'm a little  confused.  You ask about a D600 in your post, but your profile has a tag for a C600.  Regardless, this is what I would recommend:

  1. Start from the main Dell support site.
  2. Click on the Current Configuration link below your service tag on the left side of the page.
  3. Accept the agreement.
  4. Scan for the exact network card on your system.
  5. Use the information to download the correct driver for your system.
