adaptor switching service error message on start up

Question

i get this message when i boot my d500 .it also makes a loud thudding noise.how do i cure this as it is driving me nuts. thanks in advance jonathan

Please post the exact error message you are receiving. Also, check the system and application event logs (Start/Run eventvwr.msc), and report any error messages logged during startup.

(Edit to add suggestion about checking event logs)
