Adding 2 computers and wanting my computer to control both, how do I do this?

I have got 2 computers for my daughters and wanting to have my computer to control them. I have a Dimension 2350 and I have DSL coming in to my computer. I know I can get a Router and it will go to all 3 computer.

I was wanting the DSL come into my computer and then to router so I can control where they go, but I also don't want them to down load a virus and it get my computer.

The only possible way I oculd think of would be for you to have a static IP address and your ISP is going to charge big time for that.  If you will do a little homework and set up your kids accoutns as limited account, no download ability, and strict password enforcement you will be safe by having all three behind the router.

Isn't there a PCI network adapter that I can put in my computer to run the DSL in and than out.

I don't really need to control everything on their computers. I just need them to be able to use my printer and also limit their ability to what they can do to thier computers just like a Network Administrator.

I guess instead of controlling thier internet I just could monitor it.

I just don't want all three computer to go into a router, I rather have the DSL goto my computer and then to a router.

Okay, this is the last post for me on this thread.  WHAT YOU WANT IS NOT POSSIBLE!  Say it was, what is going to protect your computer?  That little no good XP Firewall?

Both and I have suggested the best and most pratical way for you to do this:

Put all three machines behind the router so they can use NAT (Network Address Translation) whihc stops inwanted packets from entering the LAN.  Use  asoftware firewall such as Zone Alarm to prevent antyhing that is not authorized from leaving the LAN.  Create users accounts for your other users that prohibit downloading.   My best of luck to you.

I don't use the XP fire wall and if this problem is out of of range and you are going to have an attitude about this than I'm asking you not to respond anymore.
