After installing Windows wireless security update can't surf
After installing the latest Windows wireless security update I'm unable to access the internet at a coffee house. I get the wireless network connected message and appear to be connected but can't bring up a web page. I was able to surf before installing the update. My wireless network at home still works fine. I tried networks at several coffee houses, no luck. Any suggestions?

I rightclick on the wireless terminal icon in my tray. I then select view available wireless networks. It gives me a list of available networks. I select one and check the connect even though the network isn't secure box. It then gives me a connect button. In the past I clicked on connect and I was on. I've only done it once before so I'm not real sure about how things work.
After thinking about it, it is very possible these things are unattended and the modems need to be reset. We had snow yesterday and I had to reset my modem at home. It may have knocked the coffee houses offline also. I asked a girl behind the counter at one place to reset the modem and she looked clueless. She said she would contact the Internet provider. I emailed the network administrator at the other place about the problem and I'm waiting for a reply.
