Airplane Mode won't switch off - Solution

Dell Inspiron 15 running Windows 8.1

I enabled Airplane mode. I couldn't get it to switch off again either through Device Manager or the Hardware switch on my keyboard (which is between F12 and PrtSr on my Inspiron model).

Eventual solution:

1 Flash the bios

2 Install/update the Airplane Mode drivers

3 In Device Manager, go to Human Interface Devices -> Airplane Mode Switch Collection

- Disable it or uninstall it from there.
