You may uninstall and reinstall the wireless card drivers:

Alienware® M14x has following solution available.

  • Intel® Wireless 6250
  • Intel® Wireless 1000

So kindly let me know the correct Network card so that I can help you with the divers.

Do follow the steps below to check which network card you have in the machine:

  • Right click computer icon on the desktop.
  • Select Manage.
  • Select Device Manager from the right pane of the window that opens.
  • Expand Network adapters from right pane.
  • This will list the network card installed in the machine.

With the correct version of operating system and the Device Id for the network card I can find the driver for the network card.

Uninstall:

  • Click “Start”, type “Device Manager” and press enter.
  • In the “Device Manager” window, click the plus sign next to “Network adapters “to expand it.
  • Under “Network adapters “, right click “network card”, click “Uninstall”.
  • Check the box “Delete driver software for this device”, click ok and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the driver.
  • Restart the computer.

To install:

  • Visit the following website: http://dell.to/18a2iCY
  • Enter the Service tag of the computer in the box provided and click “Submit”.
  • In the next page, click drop down arrow to select the Operating System which is installed in the computer and the list of drivers for the computer appear.
