Alowing cookies
I had to get my laptop cleaned out by tech support from a bad download from the internet. Now when I try to log-in on my normal sites it says that I have to set my cookies to allow entry into that site ( Facebook, banking , ect.) . What settings do I set them at how do I let just those allowing sites? What is Tags used for and why???

I have a Dell Inspiron 1720, with Vista (32-bit OS), Internet Explorer 7.

I'm still occasionally using IE8, very similar to IE7( I'm mostly using Chrome). I'm assuming you have to change your cookie settings.
Go to your toolbar > tools> internet options > privacy then you can choose the default settings or, which is what I have the 'block cookies' setting. I then have to allow any website to deposit cookies. Here is what to do if you want this option:> advanced > override automatic cookie handling > block first party cookies, block third party cookies > ok
You have to then remember to enter a specific site, otherwise you cannot register on that site. Here's how to do that : still on the privacy tab > sites > type site you want to allow cookies from > allow > ok
