Any information on 802.11n?

Want to know if Dell or any other manufacturer is going to put the new N technology in their laptops.  I don't want to purchase another laptop w/o it.  Any good or bad feed back on the technology?

Wireless g just doesn't do it anymore.  I've had it for over two years.  I want to move on to bigger, better, things.

Actually the real reason is that I want to upgrade to the XPS, but I want the wireless n and the new microsoft operating system.  I would hate to have to purchase a wireless n card and the operating system seperate.  I want the wireless n built in.

I just purchased a XPSM1210 Laptop with Draft N technology. It is awesome, fast and good connectivity. Of course I also purchased the Draft N Router from belkin. So far so good:)

I don't see anywhere on their site that they offer the N technology?  Great puchase though.  That's what I want, and XPS with the N technolgy and the new operating system preinstalled.

Remember now, it is still the Draft-N technology. The final "specs" for the N are still not approved. That will probably happen in the next 6 months or so.

This is the link to where the "Draft" - N technology can be included in your Dell purchase.

Check out this announcement..

The Pre N has greater distances but becareful as the standard has not been set yet...so why buy until it is, as you then will be stuck with a piece of hardware which most probably not be able to update without some expense.

The final 802.11n standard might not be ratified until 2008
